In their personal and professional lives, Joe Jonas and his brothers always strive to bring awareness to issues and to help people in need. In this spirit, Joe collaborated with Me to We Style to design this eco-friendly, sweatshop-free T-shirt with a powerful message.
The T-shirt bears the message: BOA ME NA ME MMOA WO or “help me and let me help you.” It is a phrase that Joe picked up on a spiritual trip to southern Africa a few years ago, and it serves as a simple reminder that we can always do more to help other people, no matter how near or far. Together we can change the world. One helping hand at a time.

The 6th annual Variety Power of Youth event, which took place Saturday, Sept. 15 in Los Angeles, Calif. was the perfect platform for Allstate’s XtheTXT campaign to encourage young drivers not to text and drive. During the event, Hollywood’s rising stars and others pledged not to text and drive by inking their thumbprints on a Ford Focus car wrapped with XtheTXT messaging and imagery.
Many young celebrities, including Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas; Kat Graham; Jordin Sparks; Christian Serratos; Diego Boneta and R.J. Mitte took the pledge not to text and drive. Also, sports and Hollywood legends, including George Lopez and Greg Louganis, took the pledge at the event held at Paramount Studios.

‘It’s a ‘get-up-and-then-sit-down-and-then-dance’ [single],’ Joe tells MTV News at the iHeartRadio Festival.
LAS VEGAS — Although Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas had an official job to do at the iHeartRadio Music Festival — introduce Enrique Iglesias — the most dedicated and astute fans might assume that their appearance at the two-day, star-studded festival meant the boys have some music news to make in the very near future.
When MTV News caught up with Nick, Kevin and Joe just before their Enrique intro on Saturday night, theJoBros said those assumptions would be correct.
“It could just mean that we heart radio and this is a combination of our love,” Nick joked. “No, but it does mean that the album is coming along and that we’re days, if not hours away from choosing a single so it’s very exciting. We’ve got a good team around us and we’re excited to get the music out there for our fans.”
As for when we might hear said single, the guys don’t have an official release date or goal set yet.
“As soon as possible,” Kevin said of their preferred release.
“Yeah, we want to do it really quickly,” added Joe. “Luckily, we’re in a position where we get to decide if we wanted to do it tonight, but I think we’re kind of lining it up to our show we have at Radio City coming up very soon, so it should be around that time.”
So is this a get-up-and-dance single or a slow ballad or what?
“It’s a ‘Get-up-and-then-sit-down-and-then-dance’ [single],” Joe teased.
“Wow, that’s deep,” said Nick. “It’s a little bit of a, especially for us to describe it, it’s something that people can dance to that also puts them in a place, brings them to a certain atmosphere, gives them a vibe about the seasons that we’ve been through these last three years in sort of doing our own thing.”

If you follow menswear, then by now you should know about the dapper Jonas Brothers. While we don’t expect you to know each and every one of their songs, you should definitely recognize that this trio is killing it sartorially. Middle brother Joe Jonas has sported some particularly stylish duds in recent memory. We were lucky enough to catch up with him to ask him some questions.
Who are your favorite designers and what do you enjoy about menswear?
I think menswear is more about picking pieces than wearing necessarily one brand repetitively. Wearing a variety of lines makes fashion fun. You get to express yourself through clothing; it is individual and expressive. I am a big fan of Marc by Marc Jacobs and have been following Simon Spurr’s career as a fan and friend. The new line he works on with Tommy (Hilfiger) is really cool.
What sports do you like and who are your teams?
I am a New York Giants fan at heart. I grew up next to the stadium and went to plenty of games. It was a big part of my childhood. For college football, I love the Texas Longhorns. Been to a lot of those game as well, they are super-fun. For NBA, I root for the Knicks and Lakers. Whenever I am in town, I try to get to some games.
Speaking of your busy schedule, where do you go to get away?
I think being at home is really nice. I went to Thailand recently. It was the most relaxing, quiet trip I have ever been on. It’s crazy there, but it was a lot of fun. Would go again for sure.
What is the difference between girls in New York and Los Angeles?
I find that girls’ attitudes from New York are so driven. You never know what type of girl you are going to meet in New York. They might even work on Wall Street. It is one of the most bizarre, yet cool situations ever. I am not throwing LA girls under the bus, but you can tell which ones that are driven, from those who are not. New York girls have a bit of a chip on their shoulder that is different.
Are there any charities that you are involved in?
I have a great relationship with the Special Olympics. We do a bunch of 5k fun-runs, which raise money and awareness for them. Also work in Africa with my brothers at AIDS orphanages.
What is next for the Jonas Brothers and yourself?
We are doing another album together, so we’re going to continue to create and work on music. We are doing a show at Radio City Music Hall, which we are excited about. Right now, that is what I have been focused on. It is essential to get our music to where it needs to be, before I can move my attention to focus on to different projects. But there are a few that I am excited about.
Any last thoughts to leave your fans with?
For me, I just get excited about the music. I am so excited for them to hear this new stuff. I think it’s the best tracks we have ever released and looking forward to the show on October, 11th.
And let’s go Giants.
Let’s go Giants.
